Honda PS250 - "Big Ruckus"  -  2005 with 9788 miles  - Located in Sierra Vista (SE) Arizona

Side View

Seat Back is down, can be used a passenger seat, rear foot pegs are folded in. Gas and coolant access door open - Holds 3.4 gallons

of regular gas. This scoot gets a solid 70 MPG! It goes a max of 70+ MPH, it cruises great at 60+ MPH.  (520) 803-7631 eves.

Right side

This is how I rode it. Seat back locked up and using the large rear deck to hold my large Stanley (16") cloth tool box for storage. This

case is available at Target or I'll throw in this one that's a little faded now. The upper compartment has two clear, zippered plastic map

protectors that worked great for hold documents like your registration forms, etc. The spark plug access panel is missing as shown,

these ($22) and all parts are available on-line or at your Honda Rec Vehicle dealer.

Front Left

The headlights are a Big Ruckus standout feature. Since I rode to work in the dark I really apprecated the ability to see the deer way

out there. High and Low beams from both sealed beam head lamps. The Big Ruckus has a side compartment in back that holds the

tool kit and owners manual. I kept rain gear in here. I'm not the original owner (I got it at 1300 mi.) and the scoot must have had a low

speed side skid at some point, they got scared, that's why it was probably sold to me. The front disc brakes can really grab and stop

you fast but you must be sure to apply the left hand brake first - it applies the rear and the front at the same time thus keeping you stable.

The right hand lever is also a brake but only applies braking power to the front disc brake - too hard and too fast on this one and

another safety feature kicks in - the scoot goes on it's side, which is better than a head-on. Honda engineering at it's finest - I'd never

buy one those cheap crappy Chinese scooters.

Driver view

The seat is wide and very comfortable - the Harley riders have expressed envy at the comfort of a complete back-rest. You can see

the parking brake handle on the right side. Naturally, this is a twist-and-go scooter with a sophisticated CVT (continuous variable

transmission), the scoot free-wheels so when you park it on a hill you need apply this brake to lock her down. Note another comfort

feature - the large foot rests. This allows for various foot/leg positions and that beats the heck out of  hanging on a single foot peg.

Speedometer

Again, in all conditions I got a consistent 70 miles per gallon! Yet this scoot really moves and will keep up with regular road traffic. It is

very fast off the line (no gears to shift) and accelerates nicely. It's got 9788 miles on it and all maintenance has been done at the local

authorized Honda dealer. The CVT belt is fine at the last check (8K), documents attesting to this will be included. I also have the Honda

Service Manual (it's $45 at the dealer, only $20 extra for the lucky winner), it comes with an owners manual. Changing oil is easy and it

only takes a quart every 3 - 4 K miles. I has a re-settable trip meter, I put in two gallons every 140 miles; range on a full tank is ~ 220 miles.

Big Eyes

The tires need replacement soon. I have a set on order ($98) but one is back-ordered and I don't know if or when it will come in ( I live in the sticks). If the scoot reaches $3200 I'll include those tires if I get them in in time, otherwise I may have to cancel the order. For shipping I highly recommend UShip.com. I have saved big on space available trucking and you can set a target amount you'd like to pay. Why am I selling this gem? I need to scoot up to Tucson now and then and I'm not foolish enough to ride the Interstate 10 when everyone is going 85+ MPH. I bought a Honda Silver Wing (600 cc) and it can handle those speeds. This scooter is a 250 cc and is absolutely great for local roads. It's easy to learn on, easy to maneuver, easy to balance and a REAL BLAST to ride. You'll have many years of trouble free and inexpensive travel on this Honda Big Ruckus scooter. It does have a few blemishes and the side plug access door and fancy muffler cap is missing (stolen, it was that wonderful!). Both of these items are available for under $100 total and if the scoot reaches $3300 I'll deduct that amount from the total. The Kelly Book value is $3400+ (last I checked). I'll help in any way that I can to get is shipped for you. I'll deliver to Tucson if that will help.  Bid Early and to your fullest amount - the snipers will get you if you don't. Financing?? Email me at martinj4 @ cox.net and maybe I can work something out (i.e. 1/3 down and the other two thirds over 90 days). The title is clear, not salvaged, and shipment and title will not be concluded until payment in full has been made. GOOD LUCK!
